LOS ANGELES (LALATE EXCLUSIVE) – An extremely untrue Gina Liano RHOM story published this week claiming that her cast and production both don’t like Liano and are filming a new season without Liano is causing a stir, even in the US. The story is completely false LALATE can exclusively report. But the back-story is what is prompting more controversy today and confusion among fans.
LALATE published an article days ago that RHOM is not greenlighted to start filming. LALATE’s story was confirmed with several sources close to the show. Since then our story was confirmed again. But shortly after the publication of the LALATE story, a British tabloid ran want is often called a “counter story”.
A counter story is one in which a publication reaches out to a cast member to report, let’s say Apples, after a prior story about the same show reported Oranges. LALATE days ago reported that production has not begun on the new season of RHOM. LALATE also reported that the cast has not been told when production will start. LALATE further reported that the future of series is leaving everyone uncertain, amid chatter that the show could move “maybe” more to a new home as well. Of note, LALATE’s story followed two prior exclusives on LALATE that the show in the prior weeks.
This week, following LALATE’s most recent story that the show’s future was still uncertain, a British tabloid ran an counter story claiming RHOM is heading into production (it is not), that cast is now signed up under contract (they are not, they have been sent contracts). (That tabloid, in turn, has in the past ran counter stories against LALATE.) The tabloid featured an on the record quotation by one RHOM cast member, featured glowing praise of her body. The article proceeded (without quotation on the record) to claim Gina Liano is disliked by her cast and her producers and been fired.
Nothing could be further from the truth. LALATE has learned the totality of allegations against Liano were untrue.
The bigger issue is who was the source of such allegations in a story with one on-the-record quote by one cast member? Equally troubling that cast member on IG thanked the writer of the article and shared the story this week, a story which praises her but throws her friend Liano under the bus.
The same cast member earlier this year was fast to falsely claim RHOM was back into production with her (the show was not in production) and then another article about her later associated with the show (when the show was still not in production).
The current status LALATE has learned is the show is not in production, contract offers have been handed out but not signed, cast members do not know the status of production, Liano was not fired, and Liano has been invited back.
Fans are deeply confused because they have not seen any public rift between Liano and the other cast member who thanked the article’s author this week on IG for praising her body in that article that also throws her friend Liano under the bus.
